Burglary Appeal

Important Message – Please Do Not Ignore

Police are investigating two linked burglaries in your area that occurred on 8th April 2026, sometime between 2am and 4am, in the Potto area.

During these incidents-

a khaki‑green wrapped Ford Fiesta (missing its front Ford badge) 

and

a Triumph Bonneville motorcycle (with a pannier on the left-hand side) were stolen.

Do you have any information which could assist North Yorkshire Police in identifying those responsible and help keep your community safe?

• Did you, or anyone you live with, hear or see anything around the above time and date? • Do you have any CCTV, Ring doorbell or security footage that may have captured the burglary, or any activity before or after? • Do you have a vehicle with a dash‑cam parked in the area that may have recorded something useful?

Security Advice

• Ensure all doors are locked overnight and windows are locked or on a latch. 

• Remove valuables from sight and keep house/car keys, wallets, purses, phones, laptops and tablets in the room where you sleep.

• Consider fitting a security light to the side or rear of your property.
